The principle purpose of Peoples United Summit is to signifiicantly improve the lives of people of Houston, TX and the surounding areas, particularly those who are unable to do for themselves or as the scripture declares, "the least of these."
We believe that all people should have affordable shelter. As a result, the organization is committed to helping citizens meet their housing needs either through construction of helping them find affordable housing to purchase or rent.
We believe that a quality education is the gateway to sustainable living. An education allows individuals to compete in the employment arena, giving them the opportunity to provide for themselves and their families. We provide scholarships for college age students and for others who are attempting to further their academic horizons.
We believe families are the foundation of our society. Our nonprofit organization supports and develops those programs that lead to stable family units, including early childhood development, archery, camping and college readiness activities.
We believe that our seniors have made tremendous contributions to our society and should be cared for and acknowledged once they have reached the later years of their lives. We are committed to providing programs and activities for those who have reached retirement or elderly and infirmed.
Thank you, Senior Vice Presient of External Affairs, Kerrick Henney, for the opportunity to advance our students' education, to strenghten our local communities, and to improve the lives of the youth enrolled in our programs.
We have been able to partner with Worthing High School to help students and stakeholders in the community learn the value of an education and the importance of the business community.
Peoples United Summit sponsored this event for Worthing High School students.
We need donations to help us with our community outreach programs. We serve families, other charities, and communities.
